Meet The Team

Teen Challenge NorWestCal Nevada is led by a leadership team with several decades of experience, with a combination of practical experience and advanced education, the team works together to ensure that the students in the program have their needs met. 

 Randy and Dana Rowe have been leading Teen Challenge NorCalWest Nevada for the past 40 years. Their education and experience makes them a uniquely qualified team to minister to the lives of staff and students at Teen Challenge. 
 
 
 

Randy Rowe | Chief Executive Officer

Randy has been involved in Teen Challenge since 1979. Randy has a Ph.D in Christian Psychology, and is an ordained minister. He has a passion for helping addicts find recovery. Learn more about his story and background here

Dana Rowe | Chief Development officer

Dana has been involved in Teen Challenge since 1979. She has developed a passion for helping women who have suffered from sexual and physical abuse. Learn more about her story and background here

 
 
 
 Scott and his wife Sarah are the directors for the East Bay region of Teen Challenge NorWestCal Nevada. Primarily overseeing the Oakland Men's Center, the couple is dedicated to bringing recovery to those who need it most. 

Scott Nessel | East Bay Director 

Scott found out about Teen Challenge through a long-time friend. He entered the program as a student,  feeling without family, friends, or hope. Scott successfully graduated from Teen Challenge in 2011, having been transformed by a relationship with Jesus. After graduation, he was called back to Teen Challenge, where he now oversees the Oakland Men's Center. To learn more about Scott's story, click here

 Jeff and Kim are the directors for the Adolescent Girls' Center in Nevada. Together this couple helps bring recovery to young women who are struggling with abuse, addiction, and alcoholism. 

Jeff & Kim LeCocq | Nevada Directors

Jeff and Kim have a passion for rescuing young women from life on the streets and in captivity of the sex trafficking industry. The couple are driven to share the message of freedom and recovery with the young women who most need to hear it. 

 David and Kari are directors for the Las Vegas center and outreaches. They left a comfortable life behind to follow God's calling for their life-- ministry in Las Vegas! Together, they bring recovery to those who need it most.

After personally experiencing the transformation of God through Teen Challenge's one-year program, David was given a chance at new life. David and Kari-- the love of his life-- heard a calling to go to Las Vegas and continue the mission of Teen Challenge. Hear David's testimony here

 
 
 Jered was raised knowing about Teen Challenge. He has spent much of his life ministering to those who most need recovery, and it's no surprise that he now oversees the Adolescent Boy's Center in Nevada together with his wife. They help bring recovery to those who need it most. 

Jered & Kelly Rowe | Reno/Sparks Director 

Since before his birth, Jered's family has been involved in Teen Challenge. During the summer years of high school he worked part-time with Teen Challenge before becoming a full-time teacher and adviser. Since graduating from Evangel University with a double-major in Theology and Psychology he has become a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Hear Jered's testimony here

 Steven and Sophia have gone through the Teen Challenge program and are a shining example of how the program offers recovery to those who most need it. After overcoming alcoholism, the couple now direct the Teen Challenge NorWestCal Nevada centers in the San Francisco South Bay.

Steven and Sophia found Teen Challenge when their marriage was hanging by a thread and they were drinking away their future. Though they came into the program with no real hope for change, God intervened and saved their marriage and their family. Today, Steven and Sophia lead the South Bay centers, bringing recovery to other families who, like them, need help. Learn more about their story here
